2. Vietnam
Not only is Vietnam a beautiful country, it is also very cheap. That’s the perfect combination for travellers! All you need is to have at least $7 to spend a day in Vietnam. This money is enough for you to pay for a guest house, delicious local food and even drink and transportation. One of the most popular local drinks is Bia Hoi, a pint of which costs only 50p. In 1976 Hanoi was declared Vietnam’s official capital. The city used to be the headquarters of French Indochina. Then it became the administrative center of communist North Vietnam. The city still has its charm typical of the post-colonial times. Visit the area around Hoan Kiem Lake, a real Garden of Eden where you will relax after a chaotic day in the city. You will also see a lot of local people practicing tai chi in the very early morning.
