6. Sziget Festival, Hungary
One of the biggest festivals in Europe that lasts for seven days is Óbudai-sziget (“Old Buda Island”) on Danube river in Budapest, Hungary. Each year they host more than 1,000 performers during the fest.
This event started as low-profile student festival in 1993 and grew to be one of the greatest in the world. It has been labeled as Euro woodstock where more than 440,000 visitors pass through the event. It is also labeled as European version of Burning Man festival because of its unique features. One of the interesting things is “party train” that transport visitors to the festival from all around the Europe with its resident DJs performing on it. It is truly unique festival worth visiting.
