6. The Kayabukiya – Utsunomiya, north of Tokyo, Japan

Japan is full of surprises, but this is quite unique. At first sight this is a traditional japanese-style steak-house restaurant. But here’s a twist. Your food and drinks will be brought to you by monkeys. That’s right, the owner of the restaurant has 2 pet monkeys and they’re employed at the restaurant as servers. Apparently they were never intentionally taught to do this job but they just picked it up from watching people work. If you like clever animals this restaurant might strike your fancy.
