5. Cotswolds
Houses and fairytale-like surroundings look like they have been copied from a cartoon. All this is in the Cotswolds, the most famous tourist attraction in England.
The incredible limestone hills of the Cotswolds include the most beautiful English countryside, and are filled with picturesque villages built from local stone whose color varies from silver-gray to the color of honey. Best time to visit is in the late spring and early summer when the gardens are the most beautiful. The church of St. James is one of the most famous landmarks. If you are into arts you should visit the exhibition of the art-craft movement founded by designer William Morris, who in 1902 opened the guilds in the Silk Mill.
