Is this heaven? It definitely might fit that definition for many people. These women are taking a swim in a popular “cenote,” which is a subterranean water body with a surface connection. In other words, a sinkhole filled with water. Of course this sinkhole, located in the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, is one of the more gorgeous ones on Earth. It’s called the Samulá Cenote in Valladolid, and is a popular spot for travelers to take a dip in the picturesque, clear blue waters. The cenotes of the region were popular areas for the ancient Mayans, where they would use them as a water source.
